What makes a pest control quote different

Most pest control revenue is recurring. The estimate has to sell two numbers at once - the initial service and the per-visit price on the plan - and make the plan frequency a choice the client circles, not a surprise on the second invoice. One-time treatments, termite work, and bed bugs are their own scopes with their own lines.

  • Property type, square footage, and pests found on the job block - the three things every price comes from, written where the client can see them.
  • A treatment-plan section above the line items for what gets treated, where, and how often.
  • An item column for the initial service, plan visits, one-time treatments, and add-ons, so "initial service" and "quarterly plan, per visit" are separate visible prices.
  • Plan frequency and per-visit price in the terms - monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or one-time, circled, with re-treatment between visits stated as included or priced.
  • Signatures, with an access-and-infestation clause in the fine print - an active infestation found on site changes the plan, and the client should agree to that up front.

Pricing it

  1. Price the initial service and the plan visit as two lines. Our pest control pricing guide carries 2026 benchmarks for both by plan frequency.
  2. Quote one-time treatments at their own rate - ants, roaches, and spiders are one number; bed bugs and termites are separate scopes with separate visits.
  3. Write the plan frequency on the estimate and get it circled. The recurring price is the business; the initial service is how you win it.
  4. Name re-treatment between visits as included or priced. Unlimited callbacks at no charge is a margin leak unless the plan price carries it.

When the estimate should happen at the door

Most residential pest quotes can be priced on the first visit. FastEstimateMaker lets you snap the problem areas, speak the plan, and text a signed-off estimate from the driveway - and the plan visits become recurring invoices on their own.

Questions contractors ask

Should the initial service be priced separately from the plan?

Yes, and on its own line. The initial service is more time, more product, and often a second visit; folding it into the per-visit price either undercharges the first visit or overcharges every one after it.

How do I quote termites or bed bugs on this template?

As a separate scope with its own lines - inspection, treatment, and follow-up visits - not as add-ons to a general plan. The 2026 benchmarks in the pest control pricing guide on this site run $1,500 to $4,000 for a full termite treatment and $500 to $2,500 for bed bugs.

What if I find a bigger infestation on site?

The fine print says an active infestation found on site may adjust the plan with the client's approval. Write what you found on the treatment-plan section, revise the lines, and get a fresh signature before you treat.
