RADAR HAIL ESTIMATE

NOAA's radar hail estimate, labeled for what it is

Ground reports only exist where someone saw hail and reported it. To see between them, turn on NOAA's radar hail estimate. It shades the map in 1 km squares by estimated hail size, from 0.75 inch up to 2.5 inches and larger, updated hourly for the last 7 days.

Tap a shaded square to see its size band and how many of your doors are within 3 miles. When you tap a storm report, the panel also tells you how many of your nearby clients, leads and doors sit inside the 1-inch radar hail area.

It is an estimate from radar. It can be off in size or area, it is not a hail report, and it is not proof of damage. The ground reports stay the record; the radar shows you where to look.

Territory alerts, the same day

Draw a territory around a neighborhood you work, and the day NOAA logs hail inside it you get an alert with a count of the doors in there you have not knocked. Each territory sets who is alerted - off, you plus the assigned rep, or the whole team - and which report types count, so one territory can alert on hail only and another on hail, wind and tornado.

Alerts arrive by email, in the app, and by text once your phone is verified and you have agreed to texts. Tap the alert and the map opens on that storm's day and place. Hail near your past customers

On the Canvass plan, the morning after NOAA logs hail of 1 inch or larger within a mile of your clients (won or paid jobs, or clients you added), you get an email, and a card stays up in the app for 7 days. It is on by default and goes to the owner. The homeowner who already paid you once is the easiest call you will make after a storm.
